A major milestone was reached this evening by Marathon Paddling Academy member John Duffy, pictured here with MPA friend Wade, at the Lane Cove River Kayak Club time trial. Heading into the event, John was sitting on his 499th 12km singles TT and needed just one more to achieve the remarkable milestone of 500. He delivered in style, completing his 500th TT — an extraordinary achievement since digital timekeeping began in 2007, nearly 19 years ago.

Sharing the moment was Wade Rowston, who also reached his 500th 12km singles TT on the same night at the Lane Cove River Kayak Club–run time trial.

The Lane Cove River Kayak club Honour Board has now been updated to include the new 500 TT columns — a fitting recognition of an incredible level of commitment, endurance, and long-term dedication to the sport.
