NSW Nationals Training 2026


Boost your training ahead of the National Canoe Marathon Championships in Canberra!

With NSW the host of the Australian National Canoe Marathon Championships, make sure your are race ready with a weekend of specially designed training.

WHAT: Join paddlers from around the state for a weekend of paddling and cross training, designed to increase fitness and finesse skills ahead of Nationals.

Think long distance fitness, sprints, starts, washriding, turning in packs, team boats, portage practice - with a few sandhill runs and beach swims to keep things extra spicy.

WHO: All abilities, speeds and boat craft welcome. Sessions will be designed to be inclusive of all who are keen to improve their performance on the water.

WHEN: Friday 6th February to Monday 9th February.

We will have paddling sessions twice a day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday - with a final session early Monday morning to allow paddlers to start the working week feeling great!

You don’t need to attend every session - register your interest and attend what sessions suit you!

WHERE: Narrabeen Lake, starting from Narrabeen Caravan Park.

ACCOMMODATION: For those who want to make a really fun weekend of it, we suggest booking accommodation at the Narrabeen

Caravan Park. Or if you are local, join in for any or all of the sessions.

We work hard and play hard - with lots ofcoffee and good breakfast at the local cafe.

COST: Absolutely free!

This is about building a strong team ready to represent NSW at nationals and creating opportunities for all paddlers to be the best versions of themselves.
